The Water Environment Federation (WEF) has provided NWEA with three (3) complimentary memberships for the 2019 calendar year as part of the WEFTEC 2017 Recruitment Initiative. The NWEA membership committee is currently accepting applications from anyone interested in WEF membership that is not a member today. Please help us grow our membership by notifying and/or encouraging non-members of this opportunity. Please note, NWOD membership does not include the benefits of WEF membership. That said, current NWOD members are eligible to apply.

POSITION OPENING: Sewer Maintenance Technician
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Class I Waste Water Collection certification from the State of SD Board of Operator Certification after 18 months of employment. Must have or obtain a Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of the operation of waste water and storm water collection systems and maintenance of related equipment would be beneficial.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS: Provides services in the water and wastewater departments by repairing and maintaining sanitary and storm sewer mains. Operates a seal and reveal truck to inspect sewer lines and grout cracks and a CCTV van including computer applications, to clear sewer lines and lift stations. Performs smoke testing, bypass pumping and flow monitoring
SALARY: $16.77 minimum plus comprehensive benefit package
